- How do you add repair notes to an item or order?
- Typically, you want to create a repair product and check off the "Repair" checkbox in the File>Product>Master>Setup tab>General subtab. Checking this off will prompt a service tag when this item is added to the sales order so your staff can enter notes about the repair such as what needs to be done, the model number and the serial number. Additionally, you can choose to print this tag if you have a Label Printer set up.
Alternatively, you can leave the checkbox unchecked and when you need to add a repair note, right-click on the item description in the order and enter a service tag on the fly.
