Why do I have so many items on my cycle count worksheet and is there a way to remove them? Also, it is taking too long to freeze the cycle count group.
The cycle count will add items on to your worksheet every day and if you do not count and update them, they will not be removed from your worksheet. You can, however, remove them manually through a mass change and get a clean start. If you want to start the Cycle Count list from scratch, we recommend taking the following steps. To remove all items from the Cycle Count list, navigate to File > Product > Mass Change. On the Criteria screen, you can mirror my screenshot below to select all products set to be counted.
After clicking OK, you will be brought to the following screen where you can select Cycle Count Flag from the fields list in the top left and fill in the Warehouse you want to remove the Cycle Count from on the right.
Then, uncheck the first checkbox in the New column and then click the Repeat All button on the top right of the screen. Save your changes by clicking Save on the bottom right. Repeat this process for any additional Warehouses as necessary. After your changes have been processed, you should have no more products set to be cycle counted.
You can then set up the Phantom job to run overnight so that you have a small selection of products set to Cycle Count overnight. Assuming you follow these steps, you should be able to run a Physical Inventory for Cycle Count Only tomorrow and see only those small selection of products. Updating the counts of these products will remove them from the Cycle Count list. Every night the Phantom is set to run the Cycle Count job, more products will be added to the Cycle Count list.
