You can enable/disable specific shipping methods, and configure eCommerce Pro to allow flat rate and free shipping, and show estimates shipping and tax rates.
See also: Shipping Methods in the Magento User Guide.
- In Magento, navigate to Stores > Configuration.
- Expand Sales, then click Shipping Methods.
- Configure the following shipping options:
Flat Rate Flat rate is a fixed, predefined charge that can be applied per item, or per shipment. Flat rate is a simple shipping solution, especially when used with the flat-rate packaging that is available from some carriers. Displays Flat Rate as an option in the Estimate Shipping and Tax section of the shopping cart, and in the Shipping section during checkout. Because no specific carrier is specified, you can use a carrier of your choice. Store Pickup Displays an option for the customer to pick up their order at a store location. For more information on how to configure Store Pickup, see Configure store pickups for eCommerce Pro orders. Free Shipping Displays Free Shipping as an option in the Shipping section during checkout. Free shipping can be based on a minimum purchase, or set up as a cart price rule that is applied when a set of conditions is met. If both apply to the same order, the configuration setting takes precedence over the cart rule. Table Rates
Displays table rates, which references a table of data to calculate shipping rates based on a combination of conditions, including:
- Weight v. Destination
- Price v. Destination
- Number of Items v. Destination
For example, if your warehouse is in Los Angeles, it costs less to ship to San Diego than to Vermont. You can use table rate shipping to pass the savings on to your customers.
The data that is used to calculate tables rates is prepared in a spreadsheet and imported into your store. When the customer requests a quote, the results appear in the shipping estimate section of the shopping cart.

When Store Pickup is a shipping option, you need to set the location of where the pick up can be made. Store Pick Up Branches are set up in Magento at DCKAP Extension/Store Pickup/Manage Stores. The store Description must be a valid branch number in DDI Inform. The Description field is used in the API to Inform to designate the branch the customer picks up from.
