
Although typically on the Home page, sliders can appear on page within your eCommerce site. Sliders rotate through a number of images or "slides" that highlight special products or promotions. By default, your eCommerce Pro site will be configured with the slider images you initially provide. You can later add, remove, or modify slider images at any time.
- In Magento, go to DDI Theme > Slider.
- On the Absolute Slider page that appears, locate the specific slider that you want to edit. In the example below, there is only a single Home page slider. In the Action column, drop down the Select menu, and click View Slides.

What you do next depends on whether you want to add, remove, or change a slider image.

- Click Add New Slide.
- On the New Slide page, you choose where you want the slide to appear, title it, choose an image, and then select options for how it will display. Some of these options are described below. Instructions for the remainder of the options appear beneath the options within the page itself.
- In the Slide section, under Store View, select All Store Views.
- In the Title box, type a title for this slider image. This title becomes the Alt text for the image.
- Under Images, click the Upload button and navigate to the image you want to use.
Tip: Use PNG or JPG format for slider images. Photographic images should be 1920 pixels wide.
- If you want to use a different image for smaller mobile views, click Upload beside Mobile Image and choose the image that should appear when the browser width is 768 pixels or less.
- In the Content section, type any text you want to overlay the image. You can use the toolbar to insert images and links or modify the text format. If you want the text to appear on a background block, type the block color in the Background Color box. You must use a color code.
- Under Options, choose select the slide background color, order, and link as described on the screen. If you want to display the image for a limited time only, choose the Active From and Active To dates. This option is useful for advertising sales.
- If you want to add button or text labels beneath the slider images, allowing your customer to click through them, type that label into the Pagination box. Make sure every slide in your slider has a label, and make sure that the Pagination option on the Slider itself is set to True. If you do not set this option, then the pagination will display as dots beneath the slider.
- At the top of the page, click Save Slide. To view changes within the site, refresh your website cache.
- Visit your site:

- On the Slides page, locate the slider image that you want to remove.
- In the Action column, drop down the Select list, and choose Delete.
- On the confirmation message that appears, click Yes. To view changes within the site, refresh your website cache.

- On the Slides page, locate the slider image that you want to remove.
- In the Action column, drop down the Select list, and choose Edit.
- Follow the procedure to add a slider, above, to edit the image. .
- If you want to replace the image, click the Delete icon beneath the image, and then Upload a new one.
- When you have finished, click Save Slide. To view changes within the site, refresh your website cache.
