Be sure to verify customer contact information for any contacts who should receive mass emails through Inform Marketing Manager. You should also set up a test customer so that you can preview your mass mailings before they go out to customers.
Verify customer contact information
To receive marketing emails, customer contacts must have a valid email address set up in Inform . Verify contact email addresses on the Contacts tab in the Customer Master. To edit a contact, click on that person's name in the Contacts list. Note the following in the Contacts screen:
- The contact's first and last name are included in the To field of the marketing email by default. However, you can remove them as needed or include them in the text of the email. Be sure to verify these fields are formatted correctly for applicable contacts.
- If a contact has an email address recorded in the Contacts screen but should not receive mass marketing emails, mark the Exclude Mass Mail box.
.
- Each time you send an email (mass or direct), the Recent Activities area for the applicable contacts will indicate that an email was sent, including the date and time.
Set up a test customer
After you create a mass email, you will want to send a test version of it so that you can preview it as your customer will see it. To do this, first Set Up a Test Customer with a contact email address. Test customers are set up the same as regular customers.
After you draft a mass email, click the Send Test button at the bottom of the Send Document screen to send a preview of your email to the contact.
