- What should I do if the upgrade fails?
If the upgrade utility fails to launch on the server, then the database has not been upgraded. It will not be possible to login from the server (or for Remote Users who connect through the server). Client workstations will remain on the old version and will not attempt the upgrade until this problem is resolved. Contact DDI Customer Care immediately to resolve this issue.
- Client Workstation
In most cases, a client workstation upgrade failure is due to a network related issue where the Windows user doesn't have permission to access the upgrade path on the server. Open the Company Master and review the Software Upgrade Path. Attempt to run directly to that same path in Windows. If the connection fails consult with your IT support.
