Automatic backorder release checks for backordered item quantities that have been recently received. If any such items are found, Inform ERP automatically prints Sales Order pick tickets along with a report of the released items.
This process runs on a schedule, but you can also manually launch it on demand. Consider this any time you receive a large purchase order.
- Go to Sales > Order > Automatic Backorder Release,
- In the Branch box, click and choose the branch for which you want to run the backorder release, and then press the Tab key.
- Click OK.
To run the backorder release on all branches, leave Branch blank.
A pop-up window displays progress and notifies you when the release update is complete. Backorder Release pick tickets and the Backorder Release Report then print to the backorder printer.
