The Inventory Rank Dashboard displays a breakdown of your total inventory value by product rank, which shows you the comparative popularity of a product.
Look for X ranked products, as these have zero orders in the past 12 months. Address this problem before too much time passes and these products become obsolete.
Data is updated daily. Open this Dashboard as described in Review inventory KPIs To learn more about product ranks, see Configure product ranking criteria
To review details about inventory value, units, average cost, and last sale date for inventory items, click the View Detail button.
In addition to the Product Code (which you can click to open product details) and Description, you will find details on:
- Value : The current inventory dollar value based on the Sales Order GP% Cost Column set under the Pricing/Costing tab in the Company Master.
- Units : Total number of units on hand.
- Avg Cost : The C2 Average Cost of the product.
- Last Sale : The date of the last sale. If this column is blank, then the product has not been sold since the Data Warehouse was installed.
Tip: Use the Inventory Rank KPI detail screen to drill down and isolating X ranked products for a single vendor. From there, you can export a vendor’s list of non-moving inventory to Excel, producing a price list for your sales team of discounted slow-movers to clear out.
