Your initial configuration of the Inform ERP software requires you to set up the key components in the system: Customer, Vendor, Products, and Company. Inform ERP manages these four key components to provide your total Enterprise Resource Planning.
- Manage your customers: The customers and clients you will manage through Inform ERP. You'll have to create the customers with all of the required details, and then configure key information such as terms, tax status, and group memberships. These settings will govern how your customers place sales orders, get invoiced, and receive product.
- Manage your vendors: Your vendors provide the products being purchased by your customers. You'll need to create vendors and with all of the required details, and then configure key information such as Terms and group memberships.
- Manage your products: The products you sell. You'll need to create the product catalog and configure details such as units of measure, web options, and tax groups.
- Manage your company: For your own company, you'll need to maintain basic address and contact information about all of your division and branch locations. You'll also need to set up warehouses, banks, shipping, and truck routes.
In addition to the required setup, each object has many optional configuration choices, reporting, and maintenance.
