In this scenario, you will learn how to delete a payment prior to posting. You may have to do this if you need to correct the payment.
- Go to the Cash Receipts Posting page as described in How to post cash receipts.
- Select a customer that already has a payment in the batch.
- To view invoices to which the payment was applied, click the + icon preceding the payment.
- To cancel the payment, click the red x icon at the end of the row.
- On the confirmation message that appears, click OK.
The Cash Receipts Batch Payments appears.
Note: You cannot cancel a payment that has already been posted. Use A/R Check Void instead: see Void A/R checks.
