All text entry and list selection in Inform function the same way:
The active option has a yellow background, as in Customer, above.
Selectable options are white, and disabled options are gray. Typically options that are disabled will become enabled when you enter required data in other areas of the page.
Required data is followed by a red exclamation point.
You won't be permitted to save or continue until this data is specified.

In active fields, you may type name, address, record ID, or other related information, and then click the magnifying glass to search through matching records. If you don't know any information, you may still click the magnifying glass to select from all records.
To select a record, click the hyperlink. Note that which data is linked may vary depending on the type of data you are viewing.
Tip: You can customize your searches to include data types you choose. For more information, contact Customer Care.

If you hover over any option containing data, you'll see a pop-up containing additional details and allowing you to navigate to more information quickly by pressing the highlighted key.
For example, if you type E while the detail box above is active, an Email form displays.

If you see a plus sign within an option box, that means you can get to a Fast Entry form, which allows you to add a new record for the selected data type. In the above example, you can Create a customer.
