You can create. edit, delete miscellaneous charge codes that are
- Linked directly to specific general ledger accounts.
- Used in sales orders to add charges or apply credits
You can also view a list of all miscellaneous charge codes with the general ledger account to which they are linked.

- Go to File > Company > Miscellaneous Charge.
- Click New.
- In the Miscellaneous Charge box, type a code for the charge using up to three characters. Press the Tab key.
- Type a longer Description.
- In the General Ledger box, click
and choose the account to which you want to link this charge. In many cases this will be a revenue account such as “Fuel Surcharge Income” or “Restocking Fees.” If you operate multiple branches, choose the G/L account associated with the main branch. The system will automatically suffix the G/L to the branch of the sales order.
- If commissions will be paid based on these charges, type the Commission % in the box provided. When assigning the percentage keep in mind that there is no associated cost to reduce the profitability of a revenue code.
- If the code must follow the taxability of other items on the sales order, select the Prorate Tax check box.
- If applicable, select the Taxable check box.
- Click Save.

- Go to File > Company > Miscellaneous Charge.
- In the Miscellaneous Charge box, click
and choose the one you want to edit.
- Click Edit.
- Make changes as described above, and then click Save.

- Go to File > Company > Miscellaneous Charge.
- Click Report.
- On the Field Selection pop-up that appears, you can choose which fields appear. Drag the fields into the Print Order area, and then click OK.
- On the Print Document pop-up, click View.
